Meet Yui and Yuichiro from Dreamin Man Café

Each month, we meet a person we like, whose life or work revolves around food, to discuss their tips for a beautiful art of living.

Welcome to our Table Diary!

In March, we asked the creators of Japanese café Dreamin Man, Yui and Yuichiro, to answer our questions. The couple welcome customers from all over the world to the heart of Paris, in the Marais district. They offer a wide selection of coffees, roasted in Denmark by Prolog, selected by Yuichiro and accompanied by delicious pastries prepared daily by Yui with her market finds. Yui and Yuichiro fell in love with our unique aprons. These aprons are handmade in our Atelier de la Table in Marseille, France, from selected antique fabrics, one by one, and reassembled using a patchwork technique.

A Japanese duo in the heart of Paris

Can you introduce yourselves?

We're Yui and Yuichiro! We run a café called Dreamin man in Paris. We serve coffee and home-made pastries.

How do you set up a table?

We like to mix styles. For example, we use plates we bought at flea markets in France and Japanese ceramics. We think it's good not to be too biased one way or the other.

What are the secret ingredients of a perfect dinner?

Eating with friends is like adding the perfect spice!

How do you work with color in your daily life?

We love white. We want to paint our lives on a blank canvas.
